Ambaji USA – Shree Shakti Mandir Renovation Celebration
One of the Indian temples in Georgia, Ambaji USA – Shree Shakti Mandir will celebrate the temple renovation through a number of ceremonies on May 6 and 7, 2017. Named Udvas and Chalanvidhi, the celebration is open to all in the Georgia Indian community, including Atlanta Indians. Shree Shakti Mandir in Lake City, a 30-minute drive from Atlanta, has got a huge schedule for the 2-day celebration, comprising aarti and darshan, Prasad distribution, morning Pooja, satsang, panchang karma, vastu poojan, shobha Yatra, grah hom, prabachan and likes.

Annual Vaisakhi Mela 2017
Among the May 2017 events for Atlanta Indians in Georgia, the Annual Vaisakhi Mela is scheduled on Saturday, May 13. One of the most Atlanta Indian community events in May, the Annual Vaisakhi Mela will be orchestrated by DJ Ameet & Khan Saab Entertainment group. Desi cultural performances including Bhangra dance are the attractions of this celebration in its third year. Live performance by a galaxy of artists like Jazzy B, Kaur B, Mankirat Aulakh, Ninja, Nimrat Khaira, Prabh Gill, Mandy Takhar and Himanshi Khurana, make the Annual Vaisakhi Mela in Atlanta a most special one for Atlanta Indians.

Ranjit Bawa Live Concert
One of the most exciting Indian events in Atlanta on the May 2017 calendar! To be held on May 5, it is organized by the Punjabi Society INC in Norcross as part of the Vaisakhi celebration in Georgia. Ranjit Bawa is a popular Punjabi singer. He broke many records with his debut music album, Mitti Da Bawa, in 2015. Ranjit Bawa won the ‘Best World Album’ award in the 2015 Brit Asia Awards for the debut album. Don’t give a miss to the Ranjit Bawa Live Concert among the Atlanta Indian events in May 2017.

Annual Rise and Drive Community
The calendar of May 2017 events for the Atlanta Indian community includes a free family fest too. To be held on May 6, the Annual Rise and Drive Community Festival is one of the free events for Indians in Atlanta. In its third year, the Annual Rise and Drive Community Festival is full of fun for kids in particular. The activities include face painting, stage performance, quiz, and likes. Hosted by Stepping Stone Montessori School, the event raises a fund for its beneficiaries: Cure Childhood Cancer and Access Life America.
